INNOVATION PROGRAM COORDINATOR


BACKGROUND

 

The City of Syracuse was selected by Bloomberg Philanthropies to receive an Innovation team grant.  This Innovation Team (i-team), which launched in May 2015, is housed within the Mayor’s Office.  The team is charged with providing ongoing innovation capacity to major challenges in the city and taking on new challenges once impact is achieved on a given priority.  The i-team has worked on finding solutions to problems with infrastructure, and will continue to take on challenges like improving access to City services and generating economic development citywide.

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Program Coordinator will provide varied support such as research, creative direction, media development and management, and document development throughout each initiative; from research and idea generation through implementation, planning and delivery.  The Program Coordinator will be expected to develop good relationships with key personnel while providing and communicating in a confidential capacity regarding program execution and performance, in addition to, providing candid assessments to the Project Manager, i-team Director, and the Mayor and her advisers.
