Meet our new Deputy Chief Innovation & Data Officer

Please join us in welcoming our new Deputy Chief Innovation and Data Officer of the Office of Accountability, Performance, & Innovation! Introducing Conor Muldoon who will help to lead the API team in data and innovation to find new and efficient ways to improve how the City of Syracuse delivers services. As Deputy CIDO, Conor will oversee the implementation of a city-wide performance strategy and the continuous expansion of the city’s data infrastructure. He will assist our CIDO in championing the Mayor’s innovative and performance management vision for all city departments and constituents.

Conor is a native Central New Yorker who recently relocated his family back to Syracuse after fifteen years in Chicago and New York City. His professional background is in urban planning, economic development, and real estate. He most recently spent 6 years at HR&A Advisors, an economic development and real estate consulting firm, where he led interdisciplinary teams to develop downtown placemaking and revitalization strategies, quantify the economic and fiscal impact of large-scale capital projects, and construct long-term strategic visions for organizations and municipalities across the country. Conor attended the NYU Wagner Graduate School of Public Service where he received his Masters degree.

Conor is excited about the opportunity to work in his hometown to develop new and creative solutions to our city’s civic challenges and champion an administration-wide effort in data-driven decision making and performance management. The API team is so pleased and excited to have an individual with Conor’s skills and talent joining our team. We are confident that the Office of Accountability, Performance, & Innovation will continue to set a precedent for municipal innovation and have a great impact on our constituents.
